About Finchley Tamil Koodam
Finchley Tamil Koodam is a volunteer-run Tamil language and culture school created for children growing up in the UK. Our goal is simple: to help young people connect meaningfully with their heritage while feeling fully at home in the culture and country they live in.
We offer a contemporary, child-centred curriculum that blends
- Tamil language learning,
- performance arts (drama & storytelling), and
- creative cultural workshops
so that children experience Tamil not just as a subject, but as something alive, expressive, and fun.
Each week, children attend 2-hour classes, designed to build confidence in speaking, understanding, and using Tamil in ways that feel natural and relevant to their daily lives.
